Accessing Your STA Logger Data

Once your STA Logger is set up and collecting data, the next step is making use of it. We’ve designed the platform so that most users can get what they need quickly, while still supporting more advanced workflows where required.

The primary access point: the web app

For most customers, the main way to access STA data is through the web application.

Each organisation is provided with a dedicated app where processed data is displayed in a web map. This is the simplest and most direct way to view your data, whether you’re checking recent activity or reviewing work over time. We recommend bookmarking the app URL for quick access and saving your login credentials securely.

The web app works just as well on mobile devices, making it easy to check data in the field without needing any additional setup.

Access through ArcGIS Pro

For users working in ArcGIS Pro, STA data can be accessed directly within your GIS environment. This allows you to integrate STA data with your existing layers, run analysis, and produce maps using your standard workflows.

To set this up:

  • Add the STA portal connection to ArcGIS Pro
  • Sign in using your provided credentials
  • Use the “Add Data” function to bring your STA layers into a map

If you’re unfamiliar with adding a portal connection, refer to Esri’s documentation or contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Field access with ArcGIS Field Maps (Plus only)

Customers on a Plus subscription can also access their data through ArcGIS Field Maps.

This is particularly useful for teams already using Field Maps for data collection or field navigation. STA data can be viewed alongside other operational layers, helping keep everything in one place.

Access via API

For more advanced users, STA data is available via API. This enables integration with other systems, custom dashboards, or automated workflows. Check out this blog on what other users have been doing in this space. If you’re planning to work at this level but aren’t sure where to start, get in touch and we can provide the correct access points and guidance.

Using QGIS

If you’re working in QGIS, STA data can also be accessed there. Setup is slightly more involved compared to ArcGIS environments, so we recommend contacting support for assistance. We’ll help you connect and ensure everything is working as expected.

Enterprise and custom integrations

For enterprise customers, we support a range of custom and bespoke data delivery options. This can include:

  • Integration with internal systems
  • Automated data delivery to custom endpoints
  • Tailored workflows aligned with your organisation’s infrastructure

If you have specific requirements, reach out and we can design a solution that fits.
